Ras il –Hobz is just the next bay across from Mgarr ixXini access to this site requires pick up/ van not the common car! Or by boat, if you are doing this site from land in the bay there are parking slots and enter by the railings on the right side, looking across to your right you can Fessej Rock, swimming out over the plateau at 5 meters to the edge, then sweep round to your left and following the reef down to the saddle in the reef at 30 meters looking up you see the middle finger panicle rise to 8 meters below the surface, here you can follow the pinnacle down to 46 meters then the reef bares slight right away from the pinnacle and that’s it all the way down to 120 meters plus, this pinnacle is great for all levels of divers from open water all the way to trimix rebreathers can be found regularly at this site in summer.

Marine life is amaziny from giant groupers and octopus and jacks in deeper water, with nudibranchs and sea slugs on the plateau, at 65 meters there is a huge three pronged anchor by the reef wall on the sand. If following the pinnacle round as you follow it round the reef remember to come up to the saddle at 30 meters otherwise you will follow the reef wall all the way round to your right and be way off for your exit, once over the saddle follow the reef round to the right were the plateau is for your safety stops.

At this dive site there is no shops so bring food and drink and hope you have got good bowl control! Happy diving
